Old Business The Committee continued discussing the progress of the overall report being prepared for the PROS Committee. All members agreed upon the necessity of having at least one ( 1 ) half-time City employee ( or committed volunteer) to be at the Oswego Pointe Waterfront activity center to coordinate the people coming down to participate in various City sponsored activities (classes , boat rental , etc . ) . This person would not necessarily have to be skilled in any of the sports , but could be one of the teachers or coaches/assistant coaches of one or more of the activities . Other than that conclusion , much of the discussion focused on the Oswego Pointe Marina site , which should accomodate all of the special interests out of one facility . This should make it easier for the City to control the quality of exposure its citizens get to any of these water activities . V . New Business The Committee discussed other potential projects , such as expansion of water activities to the Tualatin River and greater riverfront activities at George Rogers Park . These areas could be developed after the success of the Oswego Pointe phase is determined . Next meeting set for Wednesday June 7 , 1989 ( later postponed to June 21 , 1989 ) at City Hall , Recreation Division Conference Room . Adjourn . RRAC/mg Page 1 RRAC Minutes : 5/ 5/89
