Tom Fahey <br />seconded the motion and it passed 7:0. <br /> <br />Public Comment <br />• Trevor Sleeman, 960 Capilano Court, Lake Oswego, OR 97034 and Brian Epstein, 820 Boca Ratan <br />Drive, Lake Oswego, OR 97034. Mr. Sleeman and Mr. Epstein expressed support for funding a <br />sidewalk project listed in the Transportation System Plan (TSP) along the east side of Boca Raton <br />Street. Both cited walkable access to a nearby school for their children as a major attraction for <br />moving to the neighborhood. However, both men opined that speeding traffic coupled with the <br />sidewalk gap along Boca Raton leads to unsafe conditions for pedestrians. City staff noted that <br />the project is listed in the TSP but not the Capital Improvement Plan (CIP). Mr. Nys presented <br />two options for funding the project: 1) get the project listed on the CIP, or 2) form a Local <br />Improvement District (LID) where the City could potentially cover half the cost. The topic will be <br />discussed later in the agenda. <br />• Larry Megura, 19700 River Run Drive, Lake Oswego, OR 97034. Mr. Megura expressed concerns <br />over the lack of pedestrian and bicycle accommodations along Chiles Road in the vicinity of <br />Bryant Woods Nature Park and Canal Acres Nature Park.
