Deschutes Whitewater Rafting & Lodging at the Historic Balch Hotel

The ACC is now offering overnight getaways for those looking for more experiential trips that are out of the ordinary, and may require more mobility. Participants will get detailed information prior to the trip via email in regards to lodging and activity requirements and suggestions. Meals that are not noted in the price are paid for separately by individual. 

 

This trip is for all of you free-spirits and young at heart who are wanting to end the summer with a big splash! We will be venturing to Maupin for a half-day, guided rafting excursion down the Deschutes River Scenic Waterway with the River Drifters Rafting Company in Maupin, OR. This tour offers views of spectacular basalt cliffs, bighorn sheep, wild trout & steelhead fishing, exciting history, and of course, spectacular whitewater. The Lower Deschutes section offers plenty of fun for beginners and experienced boaters alike. After our exciting day of rafting, we will be staying at the historic Balch Hotel in Dufur, OR. The Balch is a Historic Landmark Hotel in the East Columbia Gorge and among Oregon’s top travel destinations, and has been featured on ‘Grant’s Getaways’. Built in 1907 and protected under the National Register of Historic Places, this award-winning restored inn is an oasis to rejuvenate and unplug, and features stunning mountain views, and an inhouse spa (must call ahead to make reservations). It's a one-of-a-kind destination offering pure relaxation, connection, and inspiration.
