Oregon's First Peoples (Oregon Historical Society)
Wednesday, November 8, 2023 - 10:00am to 11:00am
Oregon's First Peoples (Oregon Historical Society)
Before Stonehenge and the Pyramids, people with a vibrant culture and complex technology inhabited the Pacific Northwest. Over 200,000 people lived in this region before contact with explorers from Europe and the United States. This presentation will explore the social, economic, and political culture of Oregon before the arrival of European explorers. Dr. Elizabeth Pruden is part of the Community Speakers Bureau, a group of dedicated volunteers from the Oregon Historical Society that give presentations about the history of Oregon.
