This exclusive group tour will showcase various primate species, their behaviors, and the center's cutting-edge research on genetics and neuroscience. Lunch TBA. (Participants MUST Show Proof of COVID Vaccination) Res $17/Non-Res $25
Please note, you must be able to fulfill the following OHSU Requirements on the day of of trip:
Statement from OHSU Primate Research Center:
Out of concern for the safety of our animals, we require that all persons who visit our campus provide proof of COVID vaccination (2 doses Pfizer or Moderna vaccines; 1 dose Johnson & Johnson vaccine, no COVID booster shots required) OR proof of a negative PCR test received within 48 hours of your visit to our campus. (Note: The PCR test is NOT the home testing kit, which is an antigen test. PCR tests may be accessed at some pharmacies, medical clinics, ZoomCare, and other locations that can be found online.) Proof of vaccination must include your full name & date of birth.
Acceptable proofs of “full vaccination” are listed below:
-
A CDC-issued vaccination card including the name of the person vaccinated, the type of vaccination provided and the date that the last dose was administered.
-
A printed photo of a CDC-issued vaccination card.
-
A digital photo of a CDC-issued vaccination card stored on a phone or electronic device.
-
A digital vaccination record from your medical provider or pharmacy website or app.
***If someone in your group cannot provide this proof upon arrival at the Primate Center, your group will be turned away.***
Safety: Because of the close genetic relationship between humans and macaques, it is possible for certain diseases to be transmitted from one species to the other. The requirements for vaccination and masking have been reviewed above. In addition, for the health and safety of both our monkeys and our visitors it is very important to maintain a distance of at least 10 ft from the monkeys at all times.
