Religious Abuse Trauma
Religion can be a source of strength, guidance and support for many. However, it can also be used as a tool to manipulate and control the hearts and minds of those who have been either victims of clergy or scapegoats of a religious community.
Connie Baker, MA, LPC is someone who has dedicated her life to helping Religious Abuse Survivors find courage, hope, and freedom on their journey to healing. She has a Master of Arts in counseling, and is a Licensed Professional Counselor in Portland, OR. Connie is also a Trauma Recovery Specialist, trained life coach and the author of her new book, ‘Traumatized by Religious Abuse-Discover the Cultures and Systems of Religious Abuse and Reclaim Your Personal Power’.
