Alzheimer’s Association Caregiver Support Group

3rd Wednesday of each month, 1:30-3:00p

The Caregiver Support Group is sponsored by the Alzheimer’s Association and designed for family members and friends caring for adults with memory related challenges due to Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias. In this group, you will receive understanding, information and ideas to benefit you and your loved ones. This group is facilitated by ACC Client Services Coordinator, Guy Holady, and the Alzheimer’s Association volunteer.

Family Caregiver Discussion Group (Currently Held Virtually Via Zoom)
4th Wednesday of each month, 7:00-8:30p

Join an on-going family discussion group to learn about the challenges of caregiving. Receive support from others who also experience these challenges. Facilitator Shemaya Blauer, MSW, LCSW is committed to excellence and a person-centered approach in the face of challenges and adversity. Insightful- she establishes rapport easily and looks forward to bringing her innovative skills to the caregivers who oversee the daily needs of a spouse or other family member.

ALS Northwest Support Group 
2nd Thursday of each month, 1:00-2:30p

Caregivers who share resources and their own personal experiences report less stress and fewer problems. Establish networks and support systems with other caregivers to share solutions to common problems and to talk with people who can understand first-hand what they are experiencing. Consider joining the ALS Family Caregiver Support Group held at the Lake Oswego Adult Community Center.
