Partnership Celebrates Water Project Completion
On Thursday, October 12, the Lake Oswego Tigard Water Partnership commemorated completion of the $254 million Lake Oswego Tigard Water Partnership Project, a new seismically resilient water system for both communities and the largest public works project both cities have ever undertaken.
More than 100 former and current program staff, elected officials, contractors, consultants, regional water providers and city staff, gathered to commemorate the achievement of building a new, reliable water system and securing water for Lake Oswego and Tigard’s future.

WTP Neighbors Celebrate Their New Pedestrian Pathway
On Thursday, August 31, the Partnership hosted a well-attended, fun-filled community event with water treatment plant neighbors, young and old. More than 175 people gathered to celebrate the official opening of the new neighborhood pathway and newly built public areas, along with the long-awaited end of construction. Neighbors enjoyed a scrumptious BBQ dinner, provided by Mission Bar-B-Que, whose proceeds go to support the work of Portland Rescue Mission.

Final Water Treatment Plant Construction Update
This is it! We have reached the end of construction. The temporary chain link fence is down, and the public areas are now open. To say this has been long-awaited, is an understatement. We are pleased to announce that we finally made it!
Long-term construction is exhausting and disruptive. WTP neighbors, we thank you for your endurance, patience and understanding throughout this project. Water is life. We are grateful to you for allowing the City of Lake Oswego and City of Tigard to secure a safe and reliable water supply for our communities’ future.
Landscaping continues at the WTP
Water Treatment Plant Construction Update
It’s been a while since we’ve updated neighbors about work at the water treatment plant, so please read on for the latest news.
Work Hours
Due to the excessive heat wave upon us, the landscapers plan to start work an hour earlier each day for the next two weeks (6 a.m. to 7 p.m., Monday to Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturdays). Work will involve the use of small equipment already on site to pick up and place trees and hand work for planting shrubs etc. Any large landscaping trucks will access the site after 7 a.m.
This early start time has been approved by West Linn’s City Manager.
