Activity is increasing at the river intake pump station site this week. The Partnership received its environmental permit from the Army Corps of Engineers which allows work to begin below the ordinary high water line on the Clackamas River.
The final pier to support the work bridge will be installed this week. The foundation on the riverbank was built on Monday and concrete poured. On Wednesday, the pier will be attached and the work bridge completed the following week. In 2-3 weeks, a larger crane will be brought to the site and assembled. Watch for traffic control when the crane arrives and is being assembled and use extreme care near the site. REMINDER: for your own safety never enter the work site, which is anywhere behind the metal cyclone fence/gate. Even when the fence is opened, it is dangerous to enter the site. Thank you.
