Design for the Boones Ferry Road Project from Madrona Street to Lanewood Street is getting underway. The first signs of this work will be the presence of survey crews beginning Monday, March 30. The crews work for WHPacific, the engineering firm hired to design the project. Survey work is expected to continue into early May.
Two survey crews will typically be working from 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Monday to Friday, collecting survey information for property corners, fences, walls, landscaping and various street features. For survey work on private property, surveyors will check with occupants of the property prior to performing work. If there is no response, they will leave notice on the site with contact information and will proceed with the survey.
While working in the street, crews will try to minimize impacts to traffic. Flaggers will be used for traffic control to protect the safety of motorists, pedestrians and the surveyors. For identification purposes, the crews will utilize two white trucks with the “WHPacific” logo on the sides.
