Over the past few months, design work for the Boones Ferry Road Improvement Project has been on hold pending approval from ODOT of an amendment to the engineering consultant’s contract for final design and right-of-way acquisition. With ODOT’s approval, which is anticipated to be the end of May, WHPacific will begin final design work and its right-of-way consultant, Universal Field Services, will initiate right-of-way acquisition efforts including reaching out to affected property owners.
The Project Advisory Committee, comprised of local business owners, property owners and neighbors, will also reconvene and begin working out final street design details. The Committee’s work will ensure that the eventual project fulfills the goals of both the Boones Ferry Road Refinement Plan and the Lake Grove Village Center Plan. The Committee’s next meeting will be either late June or July. Once it is scheduled, the agenda and meeting materials will be posted on this web page. The Committee’s meetings are open to the public and anyone interested in the project is encouraged to attend.
With the recent setback in the project schedule, construction work on Boones Ferry Road is now expected to begin in early 2018.
