Boards & Commissions

Nearly 100 Lake Oswego residents serve on an Advisory Board or Commission each year. These volunteers ensure the City Council moves in sync with the community, advising on issues related to the charge of their Board and offering perspective on the needs of their neighbors.

Applications for 2023 appointments are closed. Click below to receive an email when our next recruitment cycle opens (April 2024) and to learn about other opportunities to get involved with the City.

Six of the seven Advisory Boards reserve positions for youth members. This one-year experiential learning opportunity, designed for high school sophomores and juniors, provides a first-hand look into City operations. While learning, youth members advise and vote on issues related to the charge of their Board – helping to ensure the needs of Lake Oswego’s next generation are factored into the decisions we make today.
