About Boards & Commissions
The City Council may create standing citizen advisory boards, committees or commissions to aid the Council in the conduct of public affairs. Advisory boards are standing committees not required by state law and are appointed by the Council to advise and make recommendations to the Council regarding topics specified in the Committee’s enabling provisions. Commissions mean a standing committee that is required by state law or to which the Council has delegated final decision making authority.
