South Shore Fire Station Task Force

The South Shore Fire Station Task Force is charged with reviewing and providing feedback to the City Council on:

The Fire Department’s assessment of community coverage needs
Existing facility and site conditions at the South Shore Fire Station
The Department’s vision for their next generation of service provision
Preliminary project cost estimates, and
A full-scale community engagement strategy, contingent upon a City Council decision to advance this project.

Eligibility & Membership

The South Shore Fire Station Task Force is an ad hoc (temporary) group, selected by the Mayor and appointed by the City Council. Members will be appointed on October 1, 2024 and will serve terms lasting through March 1, 2024, unless the work of the Task Force is concluded earlier or the term is extended by resolution of the City Council.
