The South Shore Fire Station Task Force was charged with reviewing and providing feedback to the City Council on:

  • The Fire Department’s assessment of community coverage needs
  • Existing facility and site conditions at the South Shore Fire Station
  • The Department’s vision for their next generation of service provision
  • Preliminary project cost estimates, and
  • A full-scale community engagement strategy, contingent upon a City Council decision to advance this project.

Eligibility & Membership

The South Shore Fire Station Task Force was an ad hoc (temporary) group, selected by the Mayor and appointed by the City Council. Members were appointed on October 1, 2024 and served terms lasting through March 1, 2025.
