AP 22-03 [499-22-000160-TREE]: A request for a hearing appealing staffs tentative decision.

Project Background / Summary: 

A request for a hearing appealing staff’s tentative decision to approve Type II tree application (499-22-000160-TREE) to remove four Douglas-firs (30”-52” DBH) in order to construct a new single-family dwelling on the site.

CITY COUNCIL- September 6th
The DRC’s decision approving these two applications was appealed to the City Council. The City Council hearing on both tree removal applications (529 8th St. and 541 8th St.) is scheduled for Tuesday, September 6th, 2022 at 5:30 pm and will be consolidated into one hearing. The following time limits will apply for testimony on both applications together (the Council may modify these time limits):

Applicant will have 15 minutes
Appellant will have 15 minutes
Representative of a recognized neighborhood association, homeowners’ association, government or government agency, or other incorporated public interest organization will each have 10 minutes
Individuals will each have 5 minutes
Applicant will be given 5 minutes for rebuttal

Written testimony may also be submitted up until 12:00 pm (noon) on the day of the hearing (Sept. 6, 2022) to dcissell@lakeoswego.city or to the Planning Dept. on the 2nd floor of City Hall.

 

DRC- June 20th
The hearing on the tree removal application at 529 8th Street will be consolidated with the hearing for 541 8th Street because they are side-by-side lots owned by the same applicant and both applications were appealed by the same appellant. The Commission will hear testimony on both applications in one consolidated hearing. The following time limits will apply for testimony on both applications together:

  • Applicant will have 20 minutes
  • Representative of a recognized neighborhood association, homeowners’ association, government or government agency, or other incorporated public interest organization will each have 10 minutes
  • Individuals will each have 5 minutes
  • Applicant will be given 5 minutes for rebuttal

Written testimony may also be submitted up until 12:00 pm (noon) on the day of the hearing to dcissell@lakeoswego.city or to the Planning Dept. on the 2nd floor of City Hall.
