March 18, 2025
The City Council completed deliberations on AP 24-05 on March 18, 2025. After reviewing the engineering and tree protection requirements, the Council voted to uphold the DRC decision to approve removal. The adoption of findings for AP 24-05 will be held April 1, 2025.

February 18, 2025
The City Council held a consolidated hearing for AP 24-04 and AP 24-05 on February 18, 2025. After closing the hearing, the Council voted to uphold the DRC decision to approve AP 24-04 and asked the City Engineer to provide information on alley requirements for AP 24-05. The adoption of findings for AP 24-04 will be held March 4, 2025. Deliberation on AP 24-05 will be held March 18, 2025.

January 31, 2025
A timely notice of intent to appeal (NITA) was submitted on January 16th, before the 5pm deadline. The appeal of the DRC decision will be February 18th, 2025. All who submitted comments either in writing or orally are eligible to testify. Any written comments are due by noon on Thursday, February 13, 2025. The appeal will be based on the record created before the DRC, meaning no new evidence may be received. See the Council website for updates to the agenda, and Public Record of File for the record.

January 6, 2025
The Development Review Commission met to adopt findings for AP 24-05 (TR 499-24-001844-TREE). Two commissioners reversed their vote of tentative denial to approval for the final decision. A new motion was made and passed for a final decision to adopt findings to approve AP 24-05 (TR 499-24-001844-TREE).

December 16, 2024
The Development Review Commission held a public hearing and made a tentative decision to deny AP 24-05 (TR 499-24-001844-TREE). The Commission will adopt findings at their hearing on January 6, 2025 at 6 pm (virtually).

November 27, 2024
A request for a public hearing for the 18” Western hemlock was submitted on November 25, 2024 [AP 24-05]. The hearing will be held concurrently with AP 24-04 on December 16, 2024, with consolidated presentations and testimony periods. AP 24-04 [TR 499-24-001007-TREE] is for the removal of 22 trees to construct the 8-unit cottage cluster development.
