Tree Task Force Meeting - Monday, July 14, 2025 - 10:00am

Good afternoon,

Thank you for your interest in the City’s work to update City tree regulations. We’re excited to share that the project is officially underway, and have a few important updates:

Project Consultant

Following a competitive selection process, the City has hired Cascadia Partners as the project consultant. They will support the City’s project team in developing amendments to the City’s tree regulations and will lead public engagement efforts throughout the process.

Tree Task Force

On June 3, the City Council appointed 12 local residents and professionals to serve on the Tree Task Force https://apps.lakeoswego.city/WebLink/Browse.aspx?id=2886210&repo=CityOfLakeOswego&cr=1. This group will review project materials and provide guidance to the City team. The Task Force will hold its first meeting on Monday, July 14, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. This will be a virtual meeting held via Zoom.

Planning Commission and City Council Meetings

To kick off the project, the Planning Commission and City Council will each hold study sessions:

  • Planning Commission: Monday, July 28
  • City Council: Tuesday, August 5
