LU 16-0030: Annual Community Development Code Amendments
The proposed amendments are part of the City’s on-going effort to make the Community Development Code (CDC) more usable for residents, developers and City staff by correcting errors, eliminating text ambiguities and redundancies, and clarifying code text. The package includes amendments to Pre-Application Conference exemptions, Street Front and Side Yard Setback Plane measuring points, courtyards in the Downtown Redevelopment Design District, Height of Building definition, and other standards.

The City Council held a public hearing on February 7, 2017 and tentatively approved the Planning Commission’s recommendation. The Council is scheduled to adopt their findings and conclusion together with a final ordinance on February 21, 2017.

At its meeting on December 12, 2016, the Planning Commission approved the Findings, Conclusions and Order (the final recommendation). A link to the Findings is available under "Key Documents" below.
The City Council is scheduled to hold a study session on December 20, 2016. The public hearing is tentatively scheduled for February 7, 2017.

At its meeting on November 28, 2016 the Commission considered the Findings, Conclusions and Order and directed staff to return on December 12, 2016 with revised Findings as discussed.

The Planning Commission considered the proposed code amendments at a public hearing on November 14, 2016. The Commission made a preliminary recommendation that the City Council approve the proposed amendments as discussed during deliberations. The Findings, Conclusions and Order (the final recommendation) will be considered on November 28, 2016.
