LU 16-0035: Comprehensive Plan Map and Zoning Map Corrections
Legislative amendments to the Comprehensive Plan Map and Zoning Map to correct conflicts between the two maps. Amendments are proposed to some Comprehensive Plan designations (Public “P”, Semi Public “SP”, Open Space “OS”, and Park “PK”) to provide clearer direction for zoning and to allow for more accurate and predictable application of city land use planning policy. Definitions for these Comprehensive Plan Map designations will be added to the Comprehensive Plan glossary.

On February 7, the City Council held a public hearing to consider the Planning Commission's recommendation on the proposed amendment. The Council approved LU 16-0035 and enacted Ordinance 2733. A link to the ordinance is available below under "Key Documents". The ordinance becomes effective on March 9, 2017.

At its meeting on December 12, 2016, the Planning Commission approved the Findings, Conclusions and Order (the final recommendation). A link to the Findings is available under "Key Documents" below.
The City Council public hearing is scheduled for February 7, 2017.

The Planning Commission considered the proposed amendments at a public hearing on November 28, 2016. The Commission made a preliminary recommendation that the City Council approve the proposed amendments as discussed during deliberations. The Findings, Conclusions and Order (the final recommendation) will be considered on December 12, 2016.
