POSTPONED - Planning Commission Public Hearing - Natural Resources Program & Sensitive Lands Revisions (LU 15-0019)

Posted Wed, 05/13/2015 - 12:20pm

The May 27th Planning Commission hearing on the city’s proposed natural resources program and sensitive lands code revisions has been postponed, pending further direction from the City Council.

During the week of May 11, the city received letters regarding its draft sensitive lands proposal from Metro and state agencies. The departments of Land Conservation and Development, Environmental Quality, and Fish and Wildlife have registered concerns regarding proposed reductions to streamside buffers and replacement of regulations with incentives to property owners for voluntary protection of natural resources. Copies of the agencies’ letters are posted on the city’s website:  http://www.ci.oswego.or.us/boc_pc/lu-15-0019-work-sessions-and-study-sessions

The Planning Commission hearing will be rescheduled following City Council review of the agency comments.
