In 2021, Arab American Heritage Month became federally recognized and in July of the same year, Oregon became the second state to permanently recognized Arab American Heritage Month. The City of Lake Oswego honors the contributions and celebrates our local community of Arab Americans.

March is Women's History Month. We encourage everyone to honor the legacy of women who changed the world by contributing to the economic, cultural, and social development of our society and to support the women who contribute to our future.
Through the month of March, the City will highlight six women working for our City with the “Women’s HERstory Month” campaign. Each week a new person will be featured. Check out the campaign and learn about these incredible individuals.
