Celebrate Jewish American Heritage Month in May
Jewish American Heritage Month is a meaningful time to recognize and honor the enduring contributions, rich cultural traditions and remarkable resilience of Jewish Americans throughout our nation’s history. From the arts and sciences to business, politics, civil rights, and beyond, Jewish Americans have helped shape the fabric of American society in countless ways.
In 2006, May was officially proclaimed as Jewish American Heritage Month. This designation serves as an opportunity to deepen our collective understanding of Jewish American experiences and to celebrate the community's significant role in the ongoing story of the United States. The City of Lake Oswego proudly joins communities across the country in commemorating Jewish American Heritage Month. We invite you to join us in learning, reflecting, and celebrating the inspiring history, achievements, and vibrant culture of Jewish Americans.
