Household Hazardous Waste Collection Event

Metro is holding a household hazardous waste collection event in Lake Oswego on November 2. Clean out your garage and under your sinks and bring up to 35 gallons of waste for free (based on container size). This one-day-only event will take place at Lake Bible Church, 4565 Carmen Drive.
What to bring
- paints and stains, thinners and solvents
- pesticides and poisons
- cleaners and disinfectants
- propane
- sharps (medical syringes)
- medications
- batteries
- aerosols
- automotive products
- fluorescent tubes and compact fluorescent light bulbs (CFLs)
- thermometers
- pool and spa chemicals
- hobby chemicals
- No electronics (cell phones, computers, etc.)
- No empty containers (recycle empty metal paint cans and empty aerosol containers at the curb)
Prepare materials properly
- no containers larger than five gallons; 35-gallon limit per load
- keep products in original containers
- pack products in a sturdy, leakproof box for safe transport to the event
- bring sharps in an approved sharps container
- be prepared to leave the container; boxes and containers, including fuel cans, cannot be returned
