Storm Debris Clean Up Event
The City has arranged two opportunities for residents to dispose of tree debris from the storm. These free events will be run by City staff with community volunteer assistance.
Location & dates:
Westlake Park, enter from Bunick Drive
Friday, January 26, 10 a.m. - 2 p.m.
Saturday, January 27, 10 a.m. - 2 p.m.
Details:
- This is for storm-related debris drop off. Tree debris should only include plant material, such as branches, stems, and cut up tree trunks.
- No rocks, root balls, grass clippings or other landscape waste, treated wood (telephone poles, railroad ties), demolition debris, or concrete.
- It is okay to transport tree debris in trash/plastic bags, but debris must be dumped out at the drop-off location.
- Residents may make as many trips as necessary to the drop site.
We encourage neighbors to work together (particularly those with hauling capacity). Please be prepared to unload debris from your vehicle independently.

Neighborhood Drop-boxes
The City also has a neighborhood drop-box (dumpster) program in partnership with Republic Services that neighborhood associations and community groups can apply for a free drop-box for cleanup events. This could also be used for storm debris. This would be a great opportunity for neighbors to coordinate on location, volunteers, and those who have hauling abilities to collect. Organize your neighborhood and submit an online application!
