Ashleigh Flynn & The Riveters - Sunday Concert Series
ASHLEIGH FLYNN & THE RIVETERS
Americana Rock 'n' Roll
West Coast-based Americana rock ‘n’ roll band Ashleigh Flynn & The Riveters are set to release their new album Good Morning, Sunshine on April 4th, 2025, through LA-based Blackbird Record Label. The all-female band aims to bring joy and connection to fans with their high-energy live shows and technical prowess, proving they can shred as well as anyone. Beneath the musicianship, Flynn’s seasoned songwriting sheds light on life’s struggles while uplifting listeners, much like her heroes Willie Nelson, Todd Snider, The Wood Brothers, and Nanci Griffith. Growing up in Kentucky and Virginia, she was influenced by bluegrass, Motown, and rock, with early inspirations including Bob Dylan and Fleetwood Mac. The new album blurs genre lines, from classic country to rock ‘n’ roll, with tracks like Drunk in Ojai setting a lively tone and Love is an Ember showcasing Flynn’s gift for melody and lyricism.
Flynn and guitarist/producer Nancy Luca formed The Riveters in 2017 to elevate women in the music industry, creating a collaborative space of female musicians, producers, and engineers. Luca, mentored by Mike Campbell (Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers), brings musical diversity that pairs perfectly with Flynn’s timeless melodies, appealing to fans of Bonnie Raitt, Lucinda Williams, and The Band. The Riveters, featuring Flynn, Luca, and a revolving lineup of talented musicians—including Carmen Paradise (bass), Leila Chieko (drums), Jenny Conlee (piano & organ), and Kathryn Claire (violin, vocals)—have grown into a collective spanning Portland and LA.
While focused on their love for live performances, Ashleigh Flynn & The Riveters also use music as a platform for hope and awareness, advocating for women, LGBTQ+, and marginalized communities. Their music delivers a message of positivity, courage, and joy, inviting listeners to let go of fear and embrace love. “We summon our courage to bring joy,” says Flynn.
