The Librarian is IN!
LOPL is now offering library services via outdoor service booths, until we can safely resume services indoors. Visit us in the library parking lot between the hours of 10 a.m.-1 p.m. Mon-Sat to access materials, services, and our wonderful staff. Be sure to follow all safety protocols and posted signage when visiting us.
- Browse from a selection of new books
- Check out a “book bundle” or “DVD bundle” – a selection of 3-4 items on a similar subject or theme, available for a range of age groups
- Ask our knowledgeable librarians for ideas on what to read next; or if there’s a particular title you want, staff can grab it from our shelves for you, or place a hold if it’s not available
- Print from your laptop or device or receive other tech help
- Register for a new library card or update an e-card to a full-service card
- Sign-up or receive prizes for the Summer Library Challenge (SLC)
- Sign-up or receive prizes for 1000 Books Before Kindergarten
- Learn about our online events, e-books & e-audiobooks, streaming video collection, and other online resources
We soft-launched the service this week, and will gradually increase promotion of our outdoor service booths over the coming weeks. Library staff look forward to welcoming you to #BoothLife!
