Cornell Street Waterline Improvement Project
Background and Scope
The City’s 2018 Water System Master Plan identified key upgrades needed to improve the reliability and capacity of our water distribution system. One of these upgrades is the Cornell Street Waterline Improvement Project.
This project will replace about 4,750 feet of aging waterlines along Cornell Road and part of Bergis Road, where existing pipes are nearing the end of their useful life.
Work includes:
- Installing 3,800 feet of new 12” ductile iron pipe on Cornell Road (from Oak Street to Bergis Road)
- Installing 950 feet of new 16” ductile iron pipe in Bergis Road (from Bergis Road/Cornell Road intersection to western edge of 645 Bergis Road)
These improvements will reduce leaks and breaks, enhance water service reliability, support future community growth, and ensure adequate fire flow capacity.
Schedule
