Glenwood Court Drainage Improvements

Project Scope/Background

Glenwood Court currently has minimal stormwater infrastructure to manage the amount of runoff experienced in the area. This project will improve the public stormwater system, provide treatment of stormwater, and improve drainage in the area of Glenwood Court near Glenmorrie Lane. 

The project will focus on installing a new public rain garden or stormwater planter where feasible in the public right-of-way.

Project Updates

May 2025: Preliminary Work Starting Soon

Neighbors will soon see underground utility locates in the City’s right-of-way to support preliminary design work like surveying, infiltration testing, and geotechnical investigations. Crews will be taking photos, surveying the area for elevation and locations of utilities, assessing tree health, taking soil samples, and gathering other data necessary for the design and construction efforts. The preliminary work is expected to take several months with possible follow-up visits throughout 2025.

What to Expect:

• Survey crews will primarily work in the public right-of-way, but at times, may need to access private properties to verify property corners and monument markers. They will knock on doors or leave door hangers if access is needed.
• Occasional daytime lane closures will occur as crews test the soil or confirm utility locations. Flaggers or signage will direct drivers or assist with access to private properties.
• Trees may be flagged during survey work as we determine how to minimize tree impacts.
• Underground utilities will be marked on the street and in gravel parking areas with colored paint. Paint marks will disappear over time.
• Wooden stakes with flags may indicate the public right-of-way, drainage issues, or other considerations. Please do not remove or adjust the stakes.
