Project Updates
October 2025
The project has been delayed due to extended timelines for utility coordination and permitting with PGE. Construction is now expected in 2026.
July 17, 2025
The City has hired NorthStar Electrical as the contractor for the project. Preliminary construction activities are expected to start the week of July 21. This work includes utility locates, erosion control and tree protection fencing, and surveying.
Drilling and excavating for the power connections is expected to take place in August. Lane and alley closures may be in place during this work.
There is a long lead time on procuring the electrical equipment, so installation of the flashing beacons may be later this fall.
