Healthy streams, rivers, and lakes start in our own neighborhoods. The City of Lake Oswego offers free stormwater incentives to help residents reduce pollution, protect water quality, and make environmentally friendly choices at home.

Whether you're caring for your yard or taking your dog for a walk, simple actions can help keep pollutants out of the stormwater system and our local waterways.

Free Stormwater Incentives

The following items are available at no cost to City of Lake Oswego water residents and can be picked up at City Hall.

Yard & Garden Care Tools

Choose environmentally friendly alternatives to traditional pesticides:

• Garlic Spray Bottle (Limit one per address)
• Insecticidal Soap Spray Bottle (Limit one per address)

These products can help manage common garden pests while reducing the use of chemicals that can wash into storm drains during rainstorms.

Canines for Clean Water

Dogs love Lake Oswego, too! Join the Canines for Clean Water program and pledge to help keep pet waste out of our waterways.

Participants receive:

• Clean Water Canine Tag (One per pledge card)
• Clean Water Canine Bandana (One per pledge card)

Pet waste left on the ground can wash into storm drains and carry bacteria and nutrients into local streams and lakes. Taking the pledge is an easy way to help protect water quality while showing your pup's commitment with a new bandana and tag.

How to Request Your Free Items

1. Complete the online request form. 
2. Select the incentive items you'd like to receive.
3. Submit your request.

Your items will typically be available for pickup at City Hall the following business day after 2 p.m.

Completing the form also helps the City track the use and effectiveness of these programs, allowing us to continue improving stormwater protection efforts throughout the community.
