In November, join the City in honoring the rich and diverse culture and heritage of the Native American community. The contributions of the Native American community have greatly enhanced the quality and character of Lake Oswego, the Pacific Northwest and our entire nation.
The City invites you to celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month, September 15 to October 15.

This June, the City of Lake Oswego honors LGBTQIA+ (lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, intersex and asexual) Pride month! This month we will be celebrating the history, achievements and contributions of the LGBTQIA+ community.

This May, the City of Lake Oswego is proud to celebrate the history, achievements and contributions of Asian American, Native Hawaiian and Pacific Islander people. The AANHPI umbrella term includes cultures from the entire Asian continent including East, Southeast and South Asia and the Pacific Islands of Melanesia, Micronesia and Polynesia.

In 2006, May was officially proclaimed as Jewish American Heritage Month. This designation serves as an opportunity to to recognize and honor the enduring contributions, rich cultural traditions and remarkable resilience of Jewish Americans throughout our nation’s history.

In 2021, Arab American Heritage Month became federally recognized and in July of the same year, Oregon became the second state to permanently recognize Arab American Heritage Month. The City of Lake Oswego honors the contributions and celebrates our local community of Arab Americans.
