⚠️Winter Weather Watch as of 2:45 p.m. Fri., 1/31/25:

Lake Oswego, a winter storm watch is in effect for the Cascades this weekend into early next week. The forecast currently shows the possibility of a mix of rain and snow, with light accumulation in our metro region. Our small, but mighty Public Works Team is prepped and ready. Plows are mounted and chained up, and we are closely monitoring the weather to rollout if/when the first snow flake falls.

You can help us by being prepared too:

  • ️Be ready for possible power outages and difficulty with travel.
  • ️Get your emergency kit together for your home and vehicle with blankets, water, food, snow shovel, phone charger etc.
  • Protect your pipes.
  • Use environmentally and pet-friendly de-icing methods: sand, gravel or Calcium Magnesium Acetate (CMA).
  • Stay up-to-date with weather alerts & forecasts.
  • ️Grab supplies to stay home for a few days if necessary.
  • Make room for Public Works & emergency vehicles.
  • If you must travel, please drive with caution and be prepared for delays.

Our team prioritizes plowing and sanding main arterials, major collectors, and bus routes.
