Clackamas County Public Alerts
Public Alerts - Emergency Notification
On September 1, 2018, Clackamas County upgraded its emergency notification software system. The new system (powered by Everbridge) allows the county to utilize Wireless Emergency Alerts and integrate the Emergency Alert System for critical life safety messages. Lake Oswego, who had used CodeRED for emergency notifications, partnered with Clackamas County to have a countywide system.
All residents are urged to enroll in this new system - #ClackCo Public Alerts.
Those residents enrolled in the previous notification system - CodeRED - must reenroll themselves in the new system in order to receive future messages. All residents who are served by Lake Oswego Fire Department (including those in Multnomah and Washington Counties) will be covered by #ClackCo Public Alerts and should enroll.
By providing contact information, residents can opt-in to receive critical emergency messaging via email, phone call, and text during times of disasters. Important messages that could be relayed include notices to evacuate or shelter-in-place, information relating to flooding, water contamination, shelter locations, gas leaks, missing children or elderly, and other important information.
