Engines are designed to assist in fighting fires by transporting firefighters to the scene and providing them with access to the fire, along with water or other equipment.
This is the garage where the emergency response vehicles are parked.
The cab is an enclosed space where the firefighters are seated in the fire engine.
Lake Oswego's first Pumper, a 1923 GMC. This fire engine was retired in 1957 and was later submerged in water during a flood in 1964. The beautifully restored vehicle is on display at the Main Station on B Avenue.
This is the living area above the garage bay where personnel reside during their 24 hour shifts.
Since it is particularly important for emergency responders to keep fit they have a work out room in quarters.
