Leave a Legacy of Survival by Learning Hands-only CPR
Saturday, March 4th, 10-11am
Main Fire Station on B Avenue
February is American Heart Month, and it is the perfect time to focus on our hearts, while working to prevent, detect and treat the disease! Join the Fire Department to be a part of the chain of survival by learning hands-only CPR on Saturday, March 4th. Participants will learn to recognize the signs of cardiac arrest, have the opportunity to train with mannequin Mini Anne, and learn the steps necessary to save a life! Comfortable clothing is recommended for all participants.
Heart disease is the leading cause of death in the United States. Hands-only CPR, the compression-only method, was developed by the American Heart Association and can be used on both teens and adults. For additional information about the program, visit the American Heart Association website.
