Can You Spy Public Works?

"People, Purpose, Presence" is the 2025 theme chosen by the American Public Works Association to spotlight how public works makes communities safer, more vibrant, and a better place to live. Whether serving as first responders, responding to electricity outages, providing regular waste pickup, or making roads and sidewalks passable after a winter weather event, public works is always there when people need them. Public works professionals are ever present, working in the background to advance quality of life for all.

Sunday, May 18 – Saturday, May 24 (all open hours)

Pick up a spy card and the stickers to go with it. Then take a ride or walk around town to find nine different elements of Public Works. Spy cards will be available at the Children’s desk during all open hours.
