Global Stories - Catalan
First Saturday Readalouds feature stories and songs told in different languages by Lake Oswego community members. Each month spotlights a different world language, familiar songs, and a simple craft.
In September we welcome Amara to lead our readaloud.
Amara is a passionate educator who loves inspiring kids about the cultural diversity in the world. She is originally from Barcelona (Catalonia, Spain) but has lived, worked and volunteered in many countries. She is a bilingual elementary teacher and has a Master's in Global Education. Her hobbies are learning languages, hiking, and participating in local projects to preserve nature.
(If your native language is not English, and you are interested in reading a story aloud to children at the library, please speak to one of our Youth Services Librarians for more information.)
