Global Stories - French
First Saturday Readalouds feature stories and songs told in different languages by Lake Oswego community members. Each month spotlights a different world language, familiar songs, and a simple craft.
In August we welcome Dominique to lead our readaloud. She shared this:
As a citizen of Canada, Dominique grew up speaking French at home with her French-Canadian father. During the summers growing up in California, she participated in a French exchange program and lived in a small town called Saint Gratien. There she enjoyed the pleasures of living in France including visiting Versailles and Paris, and eating merguez sausage, crotin goat cheese, and pistachio croissants. Dominique lives in Lake Oswego with her twin boys Remy and Brice, husband Brett and two cats Nikita and Ana.
(If your native language is not English, and you are interested in reading a story aloud to children at the library, please speak to one of our Youth Services Librarians for more information.)
