Join us as Ines tells stories and sings songs in Portuguese, and stay for a simple craft too.

From Ines: Ines Novelli Bojlesen, a U.S. citizen born in São Paulo, Brazil, was nurtured in a multicultural, book-centric environment. During her senior year in Vancouver, Washington, as an exchange student, she forged an enduring connection with her host family. In 1998, Ines relocated to Lake Oswego with her husband and son.

With a master’s in industrial design and over 30 years of experience as a professional interpreter and translator, Ines has also written articles for magazines and blogs. Her debut book, "O Livro dos Andantes, Voantes e Nadantes," published in Portuguese in 1995, received an enthusiastic response when shared with school children.

In her subsequent English-language book, "Xexeco the Spectacled Bear,” published in May 2022, Ines vividly depicts the adventures of a bear in Brazil," (the only species of bear that lives in South America), navigating lush landscapes and life's challenges, underpinned by the unwavering love of his parents.

Ines's passion to storytelling and captivating audiences, particularly children, remains a guiding force in her life and professional endeavors.
