Global Stories - Spanish
Listen to stories and learn about global cultures of Lake Oswego community members. Each month spotlights a different world language, culture, and a simple craft.
This month Jazmin will be here to share a picture book in Spanish. Jazmin is of Mexican background, and has just completed observing the holy Islamic month of Ramadan. Jazmin would love to share what being Muslim is like and answer any questions from the community.
From Jazmin: Hello, my name is Jazmin. I am a Muslim-American, a mother and a wife. I work for the University of Washington as a financial analyst in public health. We are a family of avid readers, we love our library and frequently come for story-time and many other events. Aside from reading, I enjoy crocheting, hiking all over the PNW and trying out new foods.
(If your native language is not English, and you are interested in reading a story aloud to children at the library, please speak to one of our Youth Services Librarians for more information.)
