StoryWalk "Creepy Carrots"

Wednesday, October 1, 2025 - 8:00am to Friday, October 31, 2025 - 5:00pm

Visit Rossman Park to read our newest StoryWalk® installation, "Creepy Carrots."

In this Caldecott Honor-winning picture book, a rabbit fears his favorite treats are out to get him.

Jasper Rabbit loves carrots--especially Crackenhopper Field carrots.
He eats them on the way to school.
He eats them going to Little League.
He eats them walking home.
Until the day the carrots start following him...or are they?

Celebrated artist Peter Brown's stylish illustrations pair perfectly with Aaron Reynold's text in this hilarious picture book that shows it's all fun and games...until you get too greedy.

What is a StoryWalk®?

StoryWalk® is an innovative and delightful way to enjoy reading and the outdoors at the same time. Laminated pages from a children’s book are displayed and installed along an outdoor path. As you stroll down the trail, you’re directed to the next page in the story. StoryWalks promote early literacy, physical activity, and family time together in nature. They are also an opportunity to reach community members who may not come to the library.

Where is the StoryWalk®?

Stories are installed in different parks throughout the City. Locations and book selections change on a semi-regular basis. Below are books we have featured in the past.
