StoryWalk "Daniel Finds a Poem"
Visit West Waluga Park to read our next StoryWalk® installation.
StoryWalk® is an innovative and delightful way for children — and adults! — to enjoy reading and the outdoors at the same time. In this delightful picture book, written and illustrated by Micha Archer, Daniel explores the park looking for poetry and discovers that poems are everywhere and in everyone.
The StoryWalk® Project was created by Anne Ferguson and developed in collaboration with the Kellogg-Hubbard Library in Montpelier Vermont. Storywalk® is a registered service mark owned by the Kellogg-Hubbard Library.
West Waluga Park is located at 15775 Waluga Dr, Lake Oswego, OR 97035. For more information, contact the Children’s desk at 503-697-6580
What is a StoryWalk®?
StoryWalk® is an innovative and delightful way to enjoy reading and the outdoors at the same time. Laminated pages from a children’s book are displayed and installed along an outdoor path. As you stroll down the trail, you’re directed to the next page in the story. StoryWalks promote early literacy, physical activity, and family time together in nature. They are also an opportunity to reach community members who may not come to the library.
Where is the StoryWalk®?
Stories are installed in different parks throughout the City. Locations and book selections change on a semi-regular basis. Below are books we have featured in the past.
