StoryWalk "A Good Place"

Sunday, June 1, 2025 - 8:00am to Monday, June 30, 2025 - 5:00pm

Everybody is celebrating pollinators, and at West Waluga Park we are celebrating the best of the best: bees! Visit the park to read our newest StoryWalk® installation, A Good Place by Lucy Cousins. Four insect friends are searching for a good place to live, but each place they try turns out to NOT be a good place. Will they ever find a place that’s good for them all? You’ll have to visit the park to find out if there is a happy ending.

The StoryWalk® Project was created by Anne Ferguson of Montpelier, VT and developed in collaboration with the Kellogg Hubbard Library. StoryWalk® is a registered service mark owned by Ms. Ferguson.

West Waluga Park is located at 15775 Waluga Dr., Lake Oswego. For more information, contact the Children’s desk at 503-697-6580

What is a StoryWalk®?

StoryWalk® is an innovative and delightful way to enjoy reading and the outdoors at the same time. Laminated pages from a children’s book are displayed and installed along an outdoor path. As you stroll down the trail, you’re directed to the next page in the story. StoryWalks promote early literacy, physical activity, and family time together in nature. They are also an opportunity to reach community members who may not come to the library.

Where is the StoryWalk®?

Stories are installed in different parks throughout the City. Locations and book selections change on a semi-regular basis. Below are books we have featured in the past.
