StoryWalk "Thank You, Earth"
Library kids and families are invited to explore geology, the movement of the earth, and the ever-changing patterns of the natural world. Visit West Waluga Park to read our newest StoryWalk® installation. Thank You, Earth: A Love Letter to Our Planet, written by April Pulley Sayre, pairs striking photographs from around the world with a message of gratitude and wonder.
The StoryWalk® Project was created by Anne Ferguson and developed in collaboration with the Kellogg-Hubbard Library in Montpelier Vermont. Storywalk® is a registered service mark owned by the Kellogg-Hubbard Library.
West Waluga Park is located at 15775 Waluga Drive, Lake Oswego. For more information, contact the Children’s desk at 503-697-6580.
What is a StoryWalk®?
StoryWalk® is an innovative and delightful way to enjoy reading and the outdoors at the same time. Laminated pages from a children’s book are displayed and installed along an outdoor path. As you stroll down the trail, you’re directed to the next page in the story. StoryWalks promote early literacy, physical activity, and family time together in nature. They are also an opportunity to reach community members who may not come to the library.
Where is the StoryWalk®?
Stories are installed in different parks throughout the City. Locations and book selections change on a semi-regular basis. Below are books we have featured in the past.
