Call for Artists - Stairwell Gallery
Lake Oswego Public Library is calling for local artists to exhibit their work in our library. Our monthly rotating exhibits enrich the community and showcase the vibrant cultural and artistic talent in our region.
Where We Display Art
- Stairwell Gallery: Our stairway walls feature ten 4'x4' panels for 2D artwork like paintings, photography, and collages.
- Bookshelf Display Area: In the upstairs Adult Non-fiction floor, a section of low bookshelves offer space for smaller 3D pieces such as ceramics and sculptures.
Art Selection Criteria
Work will be selected based on:
- Artistic excellence and originality
- Suitability for a general audience
- Community interest or cultural relevance
- Quality of presentation
- Diversity in media, styles, and perspectives
Priority is given to:
- Local artists from Lake Oswego and the greater Portland area
- Local professional art associations
- Art that represents diverse cultures, identities and traditions
