Everyday Climate Action featuring Amanda Watson
Part of the Adult Summer Library Challenge!
Join us on Wednesday, July 10 at 6pm for a presentation by Amanda Watson on Lake Oswego’s climate action goals and progress and opportunities for community members to get involved in addressing the challenge of climate change, including financial incentives that are available for clean energy home upgrades.
Amanda Watson serves as Sustainability Program Manager for the City of Lake Oswego. She leads and oversees implementation of the City’s Sustainability and Climate Action Plan and manages sustainability and solid waste programs. Prior to the City of Lake Oswego, Amanda worked at the City of Portland, serving as climate policy lead for Mayor Wheeler and as a program coordinator in the Bureau of Planning and Sustainability. She has a background in human rights and is passionate about addressing the climate crisis to create more equitable, sustainable communities in which everyone can thrive.
This event will take place in-person at the Library and will be livestreamed on LOPL's YouTube channel.
