Faces of Youth in Juvenile Detention

Thursday, May 9, 2019 - 7:00pm to 8:00pm

Paula Perkins' art therapy internship was at a juvenile detention center working with youth ages 12 to 18. She graduates from Lewis and Clark College in June with her MA in Art Therapy. Paula is motivated to use art therapy to activate the inner healing process, build self-confidence and instill hope. She believes we all have the ability to heal emotionally from life’s ruptures and challenges because we are designed to be resilient. Paula's role as an art therapist is to help a person discover for themselves the path they need to take through the healing process and walk alongside them on the journey.
