Freedom to Read Month: Banned Book Discussion: All Boys Aren't Blue
For three years running, All Boys Aren't Blue by George M. Johnson has been one of the most banned and challenged books in America.
Join library staff and the Lake Oswego chapter of the American Association of University Women (AAUW) to discuss this book's literary and artistic merits, reasons it's been banned and challenged, and the importance of intellectual freedom—the right of every individual to seek and receive information from all points of view without restriction.
This event is intended for adults. All are welcome and invited to join us, and copies of All Boys Aren’t Blue can be checked out from the library in a variety of formats.
This program is part of our Freedom to Read Month series. Learn more here: www.lopl.org/freedomtoread.
