FTRM: QPR Suicide Prevention Training
Join an empowering and informative QPR (Question, Persuade, Refer) Suicide Prevention Training, an evidence-based approach that teaches practical tools to recognize warning signs of a suicide crisis, engage in supportive conversations, and refer individuals to appropriate help. Facilitated by Donna-Marie Drucker, Community Mental Health Promotion and Prevention Coordinator for Clackamas County.
This program is sponsored by the Friends of the Lake Oswego Public Library and LO for LOve. Participation is free for ages 18+, but registration is required, as space is limited.
As part of Freedom to Read month, this training connects meaningfully with the featured title, The Perks of Being a Wallflower, a book that explores themes of mental health, stigma, and the importance of reaching out.
Lake Oswego Public Library is located at 706 Fourth Street, Lake Oswego. Visit the website to learn more about the Freedom to Read and explore ways to participate. For more information, contact loref@lakeoswego.city or call 503-675-2540.
