HYBRID: Genealogy Interest Group

Wednesday, June 10, 2026 - 10:00am to 11:30am

The Online Genealogy Interest Group is a group for anyone interested in genealogical research. We currently have hybrid meetings at the Adult Community Center and via Zoom, on the second Wednesday of each month from 10:00am -11:30am.

June's Genealogy Interest Group meeting is hosted by David Witter, President of the Lewis & Clark Chapter of the Sons of the American Revolution (SAR). David Witter will be speaking on the topic of the SAR activities planned for the 250th Semiquincentennial Anniversary of our nation's struggle for independence. David will also discuss a recent ceremony at the Beaverton Veterans Memorial Park hosted by SAR dedicating the Oregon Revolutionary War Memorial Project. The Memorial project is a major element in Oregon's celebration of the 250th Anniversary of the American Revolution.  It is a unique Memorial in its design and purpose of honoring the soldiers and patriots of the Revolution as well as being in a place far from the english colonies.  It was especially important to complete the Memorial before the 250th Anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence.

Please join and share your efforts!
